চাঁপাই নবাবগঞ্জের শিবগঞ্জে ইউপি চেয়ারম্যানের বিরুদ্ধে সম্পত্তি দখলের অভিযোগ

অভিযোগে জানা গেছে- আসামুদ্দিনের ভগ্নিপতি মরহুম ইসকত আলী জীবিত থাকা অবস্থায় কোন সন্তান না হওয়ায় তার সমস্ত সম্পত্তি দলিলমূলে স্ত্রী মোসা. খোলেসা বেগমকে রেজিস্ট্রি করে দেন। এরপর ওই সম্পত্তি হেবা ঘোষণা দলিলমূলে আসামুদ্দিনের নামে রেজিস্ট্রি করে দেন মোসা. খোলেসা বেগম।

আসামুদ্দিনের নামে সম্পত্তি ভোগদখলে থাকা অবস্থায় গত ৫ মার্চ ইন্তেকাল করেন ইসকত আলী। পরদিন ৬ মার্চ ইসকত আলীর দাফন কাজে বাধা দেয় ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান জুয়েলসহ ৮ জন ব্যক্তি। সেখানে উপস্থিত মুসল্লিদের বিতাড়িত করে দেন তারা। পরে চেয়ারম্যান লাশ আটকিয়ে আসামুদ্দিনের ইসলামী ব্যাংকের পাঁচটি চেক পাতায় জোরপূর্বক স্বাক্ষর নেন। পাশাপাশি তিনটি ফাঁকা স্ট্যাম্পে আসামুদ্দিনসহ স্ত্রী মোসা. সুফিয়া বেগম ও মরহুম ইসমত আলীর স্ত্রী খোলেসা বেগমের টিপসহি নেন। পরে শিবগঞ্জ থানা পুলিশ গিয়ে লাশ দাফনের ব্যবস্থা করে। পরবর্তীতে চেক পাতা ও স্ট্যাম্পগুলো ফেরত চাইলে চার লাখ টাকা দাবি করলে চেয়ারম্যানকে তিন লাখ টাকা প্রদান করেন আসামুদ্দিন। তবুও চেক পাতা ও স্ট্যাম্পগুলো ফেরত দেননি তিনি।

অভিযোগে আরও জানা গেছে- চেক পাতাগুলো হারিয়ে গেছে মর্মে গত ১৬ মার্চ শিবগঞ্জ থানায় সাধারণ ডায়েরি (জিডি নং-৮৮৪) করেন আসামুদ্দিন। তবে উল্টো ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান গ্রামের আবদুর রহিম নামে একজনকে বাদি করে গত ৬ আগস্ট আদালতে আসামুদ্দিনের বিরুদ্ধে ৫০ লাখ টাকার চেকের মামলা (মামলা নং ২৭৫ সি/২০) করেন।

এদিকে চেক পাতাগুলো উদ্ধারের জন্য আসামুদ্দিন বাদি হয়ে ৩রা সেপ্টেম্বর আদালতে (মামলা নং ৩৮২ সি/২০) মামলা করেন। এছাড়া গত ১৯ সেপ্টেম্বর পুকুরের মাছ চুরির অভিযোগে চেয়ারম্যানের বিরুদ্ধে আদালতে আরও একটি মামলা (মামলা নং ৪২৯ সি/২০) করেন আসামুদ্দিন। চেয়ারম্যানের বিরুদ্ধে মামলা হওয়ায় আসামুদ্দিনের বাড়িতে চেয়ারম্যান সমর্থিত লোকজন ধাওয়া করলে পার্শ্ববর্তী গোমস্তাপুর উপজেলার আড্ডা এলাকায় এক আত্মীয়ের বাড়িতে আশ্রয় নেন আসামুদ্দিন। গেল মৌসুমে আমবাগানের আম ও পুকুরের মাছ বিক্রি করে প্রায় ২০ লাখ টাকা আত্মসাতের অভিযোগ উঠে চেয়ারম্যানের বিরুদ্ধে।

It is further learned in the complaint that Asamuddin filed a general diary (GD No. 64) at Shibganj police station on March 16 alleging that the check pages were lost. However, on the other hand, the UP chairman filed a case against Asamuddin in the court on August 8 against a man named Abdur Rahim of the village (case no. 265C / 20). Meanwhile, Asamuddin filed a case in the court on September 3 (Case No. 362C / 20) to recover the check leaves. Besides, on September 19, Asamuddin filed another case (Case No. 429C / 20) against the chairman for stealing fish from the pond. Asamuddin took refuge in a relative's house in Adda area of ​​the adjoining Gomstapur upazila after people who supported the chairman chased him to his house as a case was filed against him. Last season, the chairman was accused of embezzling around Tk 20 lakh by selling mango and pond fish.
